From this coming Friday, 20th March, the Women and Children's entrance at CRH will be temporarily closed for around five weeks. People are being asked to use the nearby entrance marked Outpatient Services / Ambulance Entrance which is round the side of the building to the right of the current entrance. If the door is closed, please use the intercom for entry.
The Shuttle Bus drop-off and pick-up point will also be temporarily moving from the Women and Children's Entrance to the Old Main Entrance at CRH. A photo of the Old Main Entrance is left, it can be found off Dudwell Lane.
This temporary closure is to allow for the canopy above the Women and Children's entrance to be safely removed, along with the glass panels above the entrance. This is the area which will connect to our new hospital building, and needs to be prepared ahead of construction starting later on this year.
Signage will be put up in the area, and patients are being redirected to the Outpatient Services / Ambulance Entrance. Information for patients can be found on our website: Important information for people coming to Calderdale Royal Hospital Women and Children’s departments – including maternity - CHFT
Thank you for your understanding.
