From today, Monday, 9th March, work will be starting above the Women and Children's entrance at CRH to prepare for removal of the glass panels which run up to the roof of the building. Once the glass has been removed, it will then be cladded.

The Women and Children's entrance will stay open for this work and the lifts will all still be in use.

The work is happening as part of getting our CRH site ready for construction of the new hospital building later on this year. The glass panels, known as the 'curtain wall' will be removed to allow the new hospital building to connect to the new building.

Work is also continuing in our CRH car parks to get ready for construction. In the photos attached you can see the progress being made on digging for pipework.

Thank you to colleagues for leaving CRH car parks free for our patients and their visitors. Information about all the ways to get to CRH can be found on the intranet here: Car parking, Park and Ride, shuttle bus and public transport
