It is important to stay vigilant around access to and from our ward areas and other spaces that require staff badge entry. Keeping our sites secure is essential for the safety of our patients, visitors and colleagues, and it relies on all of us playing our part.
We are asking everyone to support the following key points:
- Always check that anyone entering a ward, clinical area or restricted space is wearing a valid CHFT ID badge.
- Do not allow people to follow you through a secure door without using their own access card.
- If someone asks to be let into a restricted area, it is appropriate to ask who they are, why they need access and to see their ID.
- If anything seems out of place or causes concern, please report it to your manager or site security straight away.
- If you are unsure, take a moment to check. Trust your instincts and ask for advice.
These simple steps help maintain a safe environment for everyone. Thank you for continuing to support the security of our sites and for helping us keep CHFT a safe place to work and receive care.
