A new app, called getUBetter, is available for patients in Calderdale to help people self-manage common muscle, bone and joint injuries and conditions, without the need to see a health professional. Most MSK problems can be treated with self-care from start to end, without any specific or specialist treatment.

getUBetter gives people step-by-step guidance on how to manage their condition, along with specific exercises to help, and a personalised recovery plan. The app lets people know when they may need to get extra support from a healthcare professional. It can also help people in preventing further injuries in the future.

From today, Monday, 9th March, people will be able to download the app using this link - Patient Tailored Care for MSK pain and Women's Pelvic Health or by searching getUBetter on the Apple Store of Google Play. Information about the app is also on the CHFT website, including some frequently asked questions (FAQs).
