It’s been just a short time since our new Huddersfield Community Diagnostic Centre opened its doors on the Huddersfield University campus, and we’re already hearing some fantastic feedback from patients, partners and colleagues. Many have told us how much they appreciate the welcoming environment, shorter waiting times and the ease of accessing tests closer to home. We spoke to one of our first phlebotomy patients, who was eager to share the fantastic experience she had.

"Walking into the building today I was immediately impressed with how welcoming and well-equipped it is. It looks so nice and you can tell it's brand new.

"My appointment has been faultless. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the receptionist, then I didn't even have to wait before being shown into my phlebotomy appointment. It probably took me longer to walk from the car park into the building than it took to complete my appointment!

"I've been a regular at the hospital recently, and coming here instead is much more convenient. It's turned hours into minutes, which means I can be back at work with minimal interruption.

"My experience coming to Southgate CDC today has been fantastic, fast and friendly!"
