Last week we relaunched One Culture of Care – our Trust-wide commitment to caring for each other in the same way we care for our patients.

Colleagues from Communications and Workforce and Organisational Development have been making their way around the Trust, dropping off new wellbeing pocket cards.

The cards include a QR code linking to mental health, financial and physical wellbeing support. They're small enough to fit in your badge holders, wallet or purse - so that wellbeing information is on hand when you need it. All the information can be accessed on any smartphone, without the need to enter a password or access the intranet.

Along the way, we have been finding out what One Culture of Care means in different teams. Here’s just some of what our colleagues have shared:

  • HRI Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - "treating everyone like they are part of the ICU family"
  • CHFT Charity and Volunteering Services – “work hard to bring a ray of sunshine to each colleague at CHFT”
  • HRI Theatres – “working as a team while checking on each other, work as a family and make sure everyone is safe”
  • Consultant in General Surgery, Martin Michel – “to treat everyone without discrimination and prejudice”
  • Outpatient Receptionists at Acre Mill, Tracey White and Giovanna Bintcliffe - “looking after our colleagues and making people laugh!”
  • Healthcare Assistant in Outpatients, Victoria Greenwood-Horn – “providing patients and colleagues with compassion”
  • HRI, Ward 12 – “being kind to one another”

Over the next few weeks you'll see colleagues coming to more areas with our new One Culture of Care wellbeing pocket cards. This week they will be at CRH, The Rainbow Centre and The Health Informatics Service, followed by our community locations from Monday, 23rd February.

Also on the walkarounds, colleagues shared how they appreciated being able to get hold of information about wellbeing wherever they are, and not just at work.
