As a reminder, the CQC will be conducting a well-led assessment of Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust and they would value your feedback about the current service.

The role of the CQC

The CQC monitor, inspect and regulate services to make sure they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety and we publish what we find, including performance ratings to help people choose care. We set out what good and outstanding care looks like and we make sure services meet fundamental standards below which care must never fall. When we find poor care we use our powers to take action.

The information we would like

The link below takes you to the fundamental standards of care we regulate and these are the areas on which we would like your feedback. The areas include staffing matters. https://www.cqc.org.uk/what-we-do/how-we-do-our-job/fundamental-standards

It is important to receive feedback about the current service provided to patients from as many staff as possible. CQC remit does not cover employment law, employment mitigation or individual employment disputes, but we can signpost you to a more appropriate organisation if you have ongoing concerns in this area, however ‘culture’ is an area we can review.

Thank you to all colleagues for being so accommodating during the recent visits by the CQC across the Trust. We will welcome CQC for our Well-Led inspection from Tuesday, 3rd March to Thursday, 5th March.
