Here’s Milly Finch, CHFT’s first Consultant Pharmacist.
She works with our oncology consultants, reviewing and prescribing for cancer patients and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) has just approved her portfolio work to be a consultant pharmacist.
Pharmacy Clinical Director, Lis Street said: “This is a fantastic achievement to be signed off by the RPS . She has reached the top of the tree in terms of the pharmacist profession and an inspiration to all of us.”
Milly always wanted to stay clinical. She said: “I’ve worked in oncology for the last eight years, and realised in a previous post the management side of my role wasn’t for me and really loved my clinical role reviewing and assessing oncology patients in clinic. Not long after this realisation the consultant oncology pharmacist post here at CHFT was advertised. I applied for the role here and the rest is history.”
Since starting at CHFT, she’s been involved with securing a grant for service improvements within cancer services and securing funding for our first Future Leaders Fellow from Health Education England, who is starting at the Trust in August.
Milly's pictured behind her mask at work and also out of work, too.
