Work is continuing in our CRH car parks to get ready for construction of our new hospital building later on this year. From today, Monday, 9th February, the car park outside the old Learning Centre will be out of use as contractors prepare the area for trial holes and directional drilling to start in the coming weeks. Pedestrian access to Orthopaedic Outpatients will be maintained.
Priority parking and on call parking which was located in this area has been reallocated to the Old Main Entrance which can be accessed from Dudwell Lane.
All the hoarding is now fully in place and work has begun. Last week the team from Heffernans who are carrying out the work, started to remove some traffic islands from the A&E car park which will allow Blue Light services to get through to our ED throughout the upcoming work.
If you need to come on to the CRH site, for example as a priority permit holder or on call, please make sure you park in marked bays only to allow other traffic to get through.
Thank you for continuing to use different ways to get to CRH. It is making a difference to availability of parking for our patients and visitors.
