Our Public Health Midwife, Zoe Russell, is smashing her way through her target to raise £2,500 for the CHFT Charity Maternity Bereavement Appeal. Last week she took on her latest challenge, which was to cycle (virtually) from CRH to Greenwich Park, where she'll be setting off for the London Marathon in April.

Zoe said: "We started the 358km journey early and a whole host of people joined us through the day - cycling, donating and cheering on. We reached our target early on, so decided to keep going and finished with a cumulative total of 551.4km! We raised another £263 for our Maternity Bereavement Appeal through collections and online which is pushing my total way beyond the £2,500 target."

"I will be continuing to sell 'memory ribbons' right up until I head to London for the marathon and these can be bought  through my page with a suggested donation of £10. I will be wearing the ribbons on race day along with any messages in an attempt to set an 'unofficial record' of the most ribbons worn during the London Marathon."

Pictured on the right is former patient Caroline Ford, with Matron, Jo Machon. Zoe adds: "Caroline was supported by Jo when she sadly lost her baby. She told me that a dedicated maternity bereavement suite would have made a huge difference to he own experience and she wanted to come along to support."

You can buy a memory ribbon or donate towards Zoe's London Marathon run using our CHFT Charity official link below. The image attached shows how to request a memory ribbon. You'll need to put your request in the message section of the Enthuse link below, including if you'd like a specific ribbon colour (see image attached).
