As part of our person-centred care approach, last week we held a digital drop in session at HRI.

Project Manager, Clare Ledgard, Transformation Programme Manager, Claire Sibbald and Senior Nurse for Patient Experience, Vicki Drummond, were joined by our partners from Carers Count Kirklees to provide digital support, advice, and promote the use of the NHS App.

Vicki said: "The drop-in was well attended and provided a great opportunity for people to receive support with accessing health information, enabling people to manage aspects of their own healthcare and to reach health professionals and advice required.

"What's great to see is that in comparison to previous events, most people had the NHS App."

James Clayton, Carers Digital Support Worker at Carers Count Kirklees, added: "We love helping people discover how their devices can make life easier, and the NHS App is a valuable tool for anyone needing quick, convenient access to their healthcare, including unpaid carers."

Carers Count runs a digital drop-in for unpaid carers every fortnight. For more information, please call 0300 012 0231.
