Colleagues at CRH will have noticed this week that there is lots of activity starting to happen in our car parks. The work is all to get ready for the construction of our new hospital building at CRH later this year.

Last week you will have seen fencing going up, and equipment being bought on to site, mainly in our A&E car park.

The work this week will involved test holes being drilled and changing the traffic islands in the A&E car park to allow Blue Light Services to get to our ED easily.

From next week the car park outside the old Learning and Development Centre will be out of use for directional drilling. Different areas of the car parks will be closed and then reopened throughout the work, we will keep you updated which car parks are unavailable.

Thank you to colleagues for continuing to leave car parking spaces free for our patients and visitors, it is making a real difference on the CRH site.

A thank you also has to go to our ISS colleagues who have been out on the barriers helping to direct traffic on site in the rain over the last week. Please park in the correct bays if you are a priority permit holder, or on call, as tickets will be issued. You can find a map attached which shows where this parking is now located off Dudwell Lane. If you have questions, please email car.parking@cht.nhs.uk
