It is nearly time for our 2026 CHuFT Award nominations to open, and this year we have a new category which looks for Excellence in Support Services.

The new category aims to recognise those colleagues who often go under the radar, but who have a vital role in supporting the delivery of care. Director of Workforce and Development, Jason Eddleston, said: "In previous years we have found that we don't have as many entries which recognise the vital part all our support services play. This new category has been introduced to champion colleagues in areas such as estates and facilities, who without their vital work, we wouldn't be able to provide high-quality compassionate care.

"It is only a week to go until nominations open. It’s come around quickly but I've already started thinking about which teams and colleagues I will put forward for the awards this year."
