Race Equality Week is a time for us to reflect, learn, and take action to create a fairer and more inclusive workplace and community. It encourages us all to think about how race equality shows up in our everyday interactions, decisions, and systems and what we can do to drive meaningful and lasting change.
This year’s theme, Change Needs All of Us, highlights that progress depends on collective effort. Real change happens when we all play our part by listening, learning, challenging inequality, and supporting one another.
Drop in this Friday and find out more
To mark Race Equality Week, the Race Equality Network (REN) will be hosting a drop‑in event on Friday 6 February 2026, from 11:00 to 14:00, room 7 at the CRH Learning Centre. This will be an opportunity to come together, celebrate our diverse cultures, and reflect on how we can continue to build an inclusive and welcoming environment across our organisation.
As part of celebrating culture, colleagues are warmly invited to attend in cultural attire if they wish, and to bring along food to share should they feel comfortable doing so. If bringing food, please ensure a list of ingredients is clearly provided to help those with allergies or dietary requirements.
There will also be a stall celebrating World Hijab Day, helping to raise awareness and promote understanding, respect, and inclusion. A small selection of nibbles will be available on a first‑come, first‑served basis. Everyone is welcome to drop in at any point, and our chairs Polly and Dee look forward to seeing you there.

5-Challenges, 5- Minutes, 5-Days
Created for Race Equality Week, the 5-Day Challenge has 5 different activities for all your colleagues to engage in over 5 days. The activities help employees reflect and, more importantly, take action to drive Race Equality. Each daily activity takes just 5 minutes. Take a look at the the document created by our REN below.
