Earlier this month we heard from Senior Facilities Manager, Andy Mould, about the park and ride service. He explained about some of the safety measures in place to support colleagues.
Head of Occupational Health, Pam Wood, makes good use of the Cedar Court service. She told us: “I absolutely love the Park and Ride service to Cedar Court. It’s quicker than driving up the bypass because of the bus lane, and I’m saving mileage and wear and tear on my car. I would happily continue to use it even when the new multi storey car park opens, it’s that convenient.
“I know that all the plans for expansion at CRH means there will be a hive of building activity and contractors on site in the next few years, so I’m doing my bit to reduce traffic on site and leave spaces for our patients too.”
Staff Nurse, Stacey Brown is a regular user of the Eureka service. She said: "It's so easy using the park and ride service. When it snowed last month and was really icy, the kind drivers actually drove from car to car to pick us up, meaning we could stay warm and safe until on the bus. It's well lit and feels really safe."
Around 2,500 journeys are taken across all our services every week, including the trip between HRI and CRH.
The good news is that there are still spaces available at both the Eureka and Cedar Court sites. For more information about how to use the Park and Ride service visit the intranet: Park and Ride - CHFT Intranet.
