Our Radiology Department have again been awarded the Quality Standard for Imaging (QSI) Quality Mark from the Royal College of Radiographers and Society of Radiographers. This follows a robust assessment against a number of standards where the team met 78% of the standards (increased from 71%), and are exceeding 11% of the standards, which is an increase of 5% from the previous year’s assessment.

The Quality Mark QSI is a developmental standard which shows a continuous quality improvement journey. QSI allows services to evaluate their performance and develop where needed to continually improve patient experience and outcomes.

The feedback from the review said: "Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust deliver high quality diagnostic and interventional imaging services that demonstrate a strong commitment to staff wellbeing, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. There is clear evidence of robust governance, effective workforce planning, and a proactive approach to service development. Staff engagement is high, and the service has successfully implemented innovative solutions, including artificial intelligence (AI) and inclusive practices, to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

"The service is not only meeting the standard but has also implemented outstanding solutions for the better."

General Manager for Radiology, Gemma Ellis, said: "The comments from the review are a fantastic reflection of the dedication of our team to continuously improve and do the best for our patients, as well as make things work better for us all. Well done to you all."
