Thank you to all colleagues for your hard work and support during last week’s unannounced visit from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to HRI.

Inspectors spent time in a number of areas, including Urgent and Emergency Care, all medical wards, the acute floor and the Discharge Lounge. Throughout their visit they praised colleagues for the compassion, dignity and respect shown to patients - and to each other.

We will welcome the CQC back between Tuesday 3 March and Thursday 5 March for their Well-Led inspection. Please be aware that inspectors may visit services again ahead of those dates.

Thank you once again for your continued efforts during the inspection, especially at a time when operational pressures remain high. Your professionalism, teamwork and commitment make a real difference.
