More super feedback for our Orthopaedic Team, who weren’t letting the small matter of Storm Goretti get in the way of making sure their patient got home before her road was blocked by snow.
Patient, Pauline Barrett, was so impressed that she contact us to share her feedback:
“I had a total hip replacement yesterday and cannot praise the whole team enough from my admission onto the day case unit. A big shout-out to staff nurse Courtney Sunderland, just carry on being you. You are a total credit to the nursing profession!
"To the anaesthetic team who were lovely kind and very reassuring (sorry I've forgotten all your names), and the lovely Alvin Damolo on recovery with their very caring, kind manner.
"Then back to ward 8B. What fabulous people you all are, caring compassionate kind and understanding. I was so impressed with the care assistant, the nurse practitioner and the physios. Your names have escaped me, but you were all lovely. Massive shout-out to staff nurse Tiffany White. What a lovely person you are and an absolute credit to the profession.
"Finally a massive thank you to Mr Samer Mahmood and his team for pulling out all the stops and getting me home before storm Goretti hit. I was home safely with two hours to spare before my lane became completely blocked with snow!
"Fantastic care from start to finish can't thank you all enough. I have been singing the team's praises to my family and friends. There is nothing you guys need to do better. I felt completely well cared for, respected, and listened to throughout my journey last week.
"First class health care and I can’t thank everyone enough."
Samer added: "It's always great to be able to meet the needs of our patients. Pauline asked to be home before her road was blocked - and we made it!"
