Patients who have been accessing at least two of their last four letters from CHFT digitally on DrDoctor, are no longer getting a paper copy of their letter.
Patients impacted by this change were contacted via text message last week. They have been advised that if they still wish to receive paper letters, they can reply PRINT to their next letter alert.
Digital letters are more sustainable as we do not use as much paper, it also helps to save money. It costs £1 to send a printed letter, and by patients receiving them digitally, we can save 90p per letter which amounts to more than £40,000 per year for CHFT.
