Our Public Health Midwife, Zoe Russell, is on a personal mission to raise £2,500 for the CHFT Charity Maternity Bereavement Appeal. Her first event takes place on Friday, 16th January, when there are some fantastic prizes up for grabs in her Quiz and Music Bingo night at Heath Rugby Club in Greetland.
But she’s not stopping there! Zoe will continue her fundraising activity next month with a static cycle ride at CRH, on Wednesday, 4th February, and by selling Memory Ribbons which Zoe will pin to her vest as she takes on the London Marathon on Sunday, 26th April.
Zoe, who has already raised over £1,400, said: “This appeal is close to my heart. The donations will help build our Maternity Bereavement Suite, allowing our families to be in a peaceful, calming environment to spend precious time together.
“I have cared for families experiencing loss and the environment they are in can make a huge difference to their memories.
“Please donate as much as you can spare, as every single penny will count and help families at such an impossible time.
“Thank you to each and every one of you in advance.”

Memory ribbons which Zoe will wear at the London Marathon (see link below to request a memory ribbon - please let Zoe know if you'd like a certain colour and she will arrange it)
“I will be selling these ribbons for a suggested £10 donation - there is a choice of ribbon colour and an option to have a message added. I’ll be pinning these to my charity vest on race day (Sunday, 26th April 2026) to try and make an 'unofficial record' for the most ribbons worn during the London Marathon.
“You can follow my journey on TikTok (zoeruns!)”
