Former patient, Peter, decided to take a rather untraditional approach to celebrate his recent 80th birthday. Instead of receiving gifts from family and friends, he asked them to donate the money to our Cardiac Rehabilitation Team instead as his way of saying thank you for the care he's recently received from the team. In total, Peter kindly donated £250 to the team.

Peter said: "I want the donation to benefit other local people who are going through similar challenges that I have faced. The support I received from the Cardiac team was fantastic and it was incredibly important in my recovery.

"Part of the rehabilitation programme involved exercising, it has really helped me rebuild my confidence and return to an active life."
