Thank you to everyone who has made a contribution, big or small, to the CHFT Charity Give a Gift Appeal this Christmas. The appeal has handed out over 1,000 gifts to our patients who need to be in hospital over the festive period.
Head of Charity and Volunteer Services, Emma Kovaleski, said: "Once again we have been overwhelmed by the generosity of colleagues and local businesses. Giving a gift at Christmas is a really special, and poignant way of supporting those less fortunate at this time of year. We have a number of patients who may not receive gifts or visitors at Christmas and so each year we work really hard to try and support all our patients in hospital so no one misses out.
"When collecting gift packs for the wards, colleagues have been blown away by the generosity of our communities, who fundraise and donate. We heard lots of comments about how kind and thoughtful people are, and they felt lucky that we have a charity who can support in this way."
