Here is a brief description of recent policy changes. Please make yourself aware of the changes, as they may also impact training requirements.
Policies that have been added, updated or renewed within the last 30 days are all stored on the Recent Updates page of the Policies and Documents library. So you can find these documents there or search from the homepage.
New policies:
Patient Controlled Intravenous Analgesia for Patients (for the LDRP Ward Only) - provides guidance for staff in the safe and effective use of PCIA infusions for patients in labour on the LDRP ward (Labour, Delivery, Recovery, Post-Natal). It is not designed to supersede, control, or restrict clinical judgment.
Care of Children and Young People with a Mental Health Concern Policy - replaces Calderdale CAMHS Referral Pathway and Guidelines for the Care of Children and Young People with Mental Health Concerns
Updated:
- Modifications to reflect must dos.
- Section on situations where not possible clarified and bulleted.
- Steps for positive identification of teeth added in conjunction with dentists.
- Inclusion of eye surgery marking which has previously been considered separate.
- Added run, hide, tell.
- Activation process updated including role titles.
- Added to section 4: We understand you are proud of what you do, but sharing details of your work or workplace can result in breaches of confidentiality.
