Congratulations to colleagues in THIS who were crowned winners in their annual Health Informatics Service Awards held last week. The awards are an occasion to highlight and celebrate the fantastic services, projects and implementation, that THIS teams delivered in 2025.

The event was opened by Chief Digital and Information Officer, Rob Birkett, and Chief Executive, Rob Aitchison, also gave a few words to kickstart the celebrations. A presentation, quiz and raffle were held too. 

In total there were nine categories this year. The winners for each category were:

• Driving Change and Innovation – Oliver Hutchinson
• Dedication to Customer Service – Courtney Burkinshaw
• Rising Star – Nathan Hartley
• Quality Champion – Saran Ahmed
• Wellbeing and One Culture of Care – Rebekah Coldwell
• Team of the Year – Cyber Security Team
• Leadership Award – Sophie Thomas
• Director’s Award – Stephen Rose
• Employee of the Year Award – Ed Nolan

The awards also raised money for Overgate Hospice who were presented with a cheque of £500, and CHFT Charity who were presented with a £400 donation from the money raised during the raffle.
