From this coming Thursday, 18th December, we will no longer be updating information in Patients Know Best (PKB) which is an online portal which we have been using to give our patients secure access to some of their personal health record.
That means any colleague who uses PKB to communicate with patients will no longer be able to access the system.
PKB is a separate system to DrDoctor.
Patients currently have access to appointment and allergy information, dates of ED attendances and inpatient stays in PKB and we know that some of our services have uploaded information such as patient videos. Patients will still be able to see all the information which has been previously added into PKB before 18th December 2025 using their login details.
Over the coming week we will be communicating with all our patients who are registered to use PKB about what this means for them.
We are moving away from the use of PKB as we will be expanding our use of DrDoctor (which we use to send our digital letters and for digital communications) from early next year. The aim is to make sure our patients have one online portal that they use for their care at CHFT, which will improve their experience.
Information for patients will be updated on our website here: Patients Know Best - CHFT
