Last month we shared how colleagues from CHFT have been sharing their thoughts and tips on a wide range of topics in a new series of Wellbeing Podcasts. This month is the turn of Families and Specialist Services Division HR Wellbeing Advisor, Cara Donald (pictured) who looks at how to build mental fitness.
The Wellbeing Podcast: Building Mental Fitness with Cara is only a short 20 minute listen and is available on YouTube now.
Cara says: "My podcast provides some insight on what mental fitness is and how to look after your own mental fitness. Although on the outside you might see someone who looks ok, this podcast goes into how sometimes that isn’t the case and the struggles people can face without anyone else knowing.
"It was a great experience to record this, and although I was quite nervous it gave me time to reflect on how far I have come and what the Trust is doing to support its colleagues. December can be a challenging time for a lot of people and it can be very isolating whether you’re alone or surrounded by people so it’s important to recognise if you’re struggling and reach out for help."
