Our Park and Ride Service will not run on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
The cross-site shuttle bus service will not run on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day and will run to the Bank Holiday schedule on Boxing Day.
If public transport is unavailable on the dates below, please arrange your own travel and reclaim through expenses.
The dates and times that apply are:
- Christmas Eve after 6pm
- Christmas Day
- Boxing Day
- New Year’s Day
Please note that only travel booked on the dates and times above will be approved. Please make sure you keep any receipt for your claim as we can’t reimburse without it.

On Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day, at CRH the Old Main Entrance barrier will be lifted and colleagues can park for free in this location, on these dates only. The remaining CRH parking arrangements are not impacted and for use by visitors. At HRI the ANPR is in normal operation with no changes.
Our Taxi Policy was updated last month to make it easier for our Trust to monitor the use of taxis which should only be used as a last resort, based on clinical need. The changes apply to colleagues and patient taxi bookings.
