Our safeguarding team are in full planning mode for their annual Safeguarding Week next month - and are throwing the floor open for suggestions from colleagues about any key topics they'd like to know more about.

The themes for the week are aligned to the local authorities, but Friday 23 June is open to colleague suggestions.

19 – 23 JUNE 2023 - themes each day

• Monday – Financial Abuse/Financial Hardship/Cost of Living Crisis – The effect on Vulnerable Adults and Children
• Tuesday – Trio of Vulnerabilities/taking a Trauma Informed Approach –and the effect on Children and Young People – DVA and Healthy Relationships (BLOSM team to join on this day)
• Wednesday – Hidden Men and Significant Others
• Thursday – Mental Capacity Act and Advocacy (Advocacy team to join on this day)
• Friday – Open to colleague requests for thoughts/suggestions

Community-based events will also be taking place.
