Our first student nurse digital health cohort have hailed their time spent on our wards as “impressive”.
They want to thank all colleagues who took the time to explain all the advancements and felt really supported during their time with us.
The cohort came as part of our close working with Huddersfield University, and we hope to welcome a new cohort in September.
Feedback from student, Craig Jones, said: “I think if any student nurse has the chance to get on this digital health placement - go for it, you won’t be disappointed.” He added: “It was great as you were more focused on how the tech worked for the nursing practice, and how this tech can improve positive patient outcomes.”
Rachel Reid-Fernandez, a speech and language therapy student, said: “My placement was really lovely and the team we worked with were friendly and supportive. Any support we needed we just asked and were met with support. It was really impressive to see all the new ideas being implemented at CHFT”.
The first cohort worked with critical outreach and respiratory teams, the speech and language therapy (SALT) team and district nurses.
