Our Medical Devices Team are asking wards and departments to check their stock of Sure Falls pads for expiry dates. Using out of date pads means they may stop working and could potentially cause a fall.

How to discard out of date pads

If clean and unused they can go in general waste. If they are used or have splits or tears in them dispose of them in the yellow hazardous bins.
