NEW - Non-Patient Visitor Policy

This new policy will ensure visits are handled appropriately, and patients, and colleagues, are protected as far as possible from any potential safeguarding issues relating to Trust visitors.

It does not apply to families and friends of patients, or our external advisory bodies on Trust business, such as NHS England, or workers from other service providers who may be visiting patients and/or Trust staff in their professional capacity. It covers requests for:

  • Fundraising
  • Requests to visit wards or departments
  • VIP requests
  • Any requests from the media to visit a ward, department or area
  • Requests from external organisations who wish to have a stand in our hospitals
