Our Interim Director of Operations for Resilience, Acute Flow and Transformation, Sarah Rothery, has been using the Park and Ride service between Cedar Court and CRH since it launched in August 2024. Here she shares her feedback and recommendations with colleagues who may be considering using the handy route to get to CRH.

“I was a little dubious about the Park and Ride service when it first started, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. I use it to travel to CRH as it’s convenient and takes the stress off me (and my car!).

“The journey is no longer than when I was sat in traffic every morning at West Vale.  Getting dropped off and picked up from the door means I don’t have to spend time travelling earlier in the day to try and find somewhere to park.

“I do sometimes think ‘shall I use the car’, but that soon leaves my mind when I know how much more time and stress it would add trying to find a space off site and then get to the office. As winter is approaching and construction of the new clinical building will begin soon, I’ll be sticking with using the park and ride service.

“It’s convenient, saves mileage on my car, and I can sit and have a few minutes to myself before and after work.

“If you work at CRH and have been thinking about trying it, I’d say just give it a go. What can you lose?”
