Congratulations to CHFT, Public Health Midwife, Zoe Russell and Mobile Hairdresser, Melanie Heppleston who have secured their place in the 2026 London Marathon ballot for CHFT Charity. They'll be running the 26.2 mile course on Sunday, 26th April. Here you can read their reactions to being chosen.

Zoe (pictured left) said: "There is something so special about the London Marathon, to represent CHFT Charity and the Trust I have worked in for 24 years is a real honour.

"I am genuinely so excited and grateful for the opportunity not only to experience the event but to raise money for the families we care for.

"I want to enjoy it as much as I can, raising money and awareness for this fabulous charity."

Melanie (pictured right) said: "When I got the email to say I had secured the place, I honestly felt like I had won the lottery.

"It's really difficult to explain the range of emotions I felt. From shocked, excited, ecstatic, giddy. I have waited so long and can't believe it. I feel like the luckiest person in the world."
