Our Race Equality Network colleagues have been asked by many colleagues what they can do to support people affected by Hurricane Melissa. They have set up a dedicated intranet page, which will be updated regularly.

The local community has set up a donation point at Rawthorpe Community Centre:

129 Brown Royd Ave, Huddersfield HD5 9QA - drop off from Monday, 3rd November to Wednesday, 5th November 10:00 - 14:00.

Please see below a list of essential items:

  • Non perishable food items (tin food, rice, instant noodles, sugar)
  • Torches with batteries
  • Solar and battery lights
  • Batteries
  • Toiletries
  • Adult pampers for the elderly and disabled and children
  • Nappies for babies
  • Sanitary items
  • First aid kits
