We're already halfway through the NHS Staff Survey period. This week we're highlighting the great work of our Community Nursing division where more than 45% of colleagues have already filled in the survey about their experience of working at CHFT.
Head Nurse, Community Division, Sarah Wilson, said: "It's been a fantastic response to the staff survey in our division. We wanted to make sure that each and every colleague had the time and space to fill in their survey within their usual working hours. One thing that we have done really well this year is encouraging specific time to be booked out on ledgers, which is what we use in the division to allocate our workload.
"We know just how important feedback is, and we really take on board what colleagues have told us in the past, to make improvements. It is great that it's all anonymous as we get a true picture of what our community nursing colleagues are feeling.
"We are also proactively sharing some of the things we have done since the last survey results came out. This has included you said we did work around providing appraisal training and strengthening our risk assessments to make sure staff feel safe.
"Huge thanks to team leads for allowing colleagues the time to complete the survey."
Thank you to colleagues for taking the time to fill in the survey, all your feedback will help us improve your experience of what it's like to work at CHFT. As of today, the response rate for our Trust is 37% which is 7% above the average for similar Trusts to ours.
If you haven't yet completed your survey, a reminder will be sent to inboxes this Wednesday.
