CHS and their contractors will be carrying out essential electrical maintenance work on the electrical switch gear at HRI this coming Thursday, 30th October, between 05:30 and 06:00.

The affected areas (listed below) will experience a momentary interruption of all power for approximately 15 seconds (Theatres will have battery back-up) until the generator kicks in. Once the site returns to mains power there will be no disruption.

Please remember to switch off computers correctly when leaving work prior to the electrical shutdown. This means computers must be switched off at the socket. If this does not happen there is a risk that data on display will be lost. 

Prior to any electrical work starting, CHS will visit critical areas such as ED, Theatres and Pathology to ensure colleagues are aware of the planned work and to ensure it is safe and appropriate to it out.  

All lifts will be appropriately signed and checked during the power interruptions.
