CHFT is updating its NHS Wi-Fi offer to patients/visitors and staff from Monday, 27th October. This means there will be a separate login process for patients/visitors and colleagues:

  • Patient/visitor login will continue to work as it currently does. Patients/visitors login initially and then have to reconnect each day they use the WiFi.
  • For colleagues we are changing the process so you can stay connected for a year without having to reauthorise your account. When initially logging in, colleagues will need to:
    • Use your @cht.nhs.uk email address
    • This will send an email to you which you will need to click a link to authorise access - please note you will need to do this on the same device.
    • Once authorised, colleagues will then have 365 days access before having to reauthorise.
    • This will allow staff to use the NHS Wi-Fi for internet access and for services such as Wi-Fi mobile calling.

Following a successful move to this new way of connecting, we are looking to decommission the use of the THIS-Red Wi-Fi network.
