Last night the first episode of the BBC drama Riot Women aired on TV, and CHFT were proud to be one of the locations for filming.

Last summer the production teams were on site at the Old A&E, before it was opened as the Surgical and Frailty Same Day Emergency Care Unit, and also filmed in the Birth Centre at CRH.

We’re no strangers to having Sally Wainwright and her team on site at CHFT, as CRH was also featured in an episode of Happy Valley.

The series is about five menopausal women who form a punk rock band to take part in a local talent contest, and suddenly find they have a lot more to shout about than they ever imagined.

Huge thanks to all our colleagues who supported the filming, including Jammal Mohammed, The Service Performance Team and our Maternity Team.

You can watch the whole series on BBC iPlayer.
