It's great to know that more than 620 colleagues have had their flu vaccine since the campaign began last Wednesday, 1st October.

Today ICU Matron, Sue Thompson, shares her reasons for having the flu jab, as well as being a peer immuniser and joint vaccination lead for Surgery.

Sue said: "I have Rheumatoid arthritis and take medications which suppress my immunity. That automatically makes me vulnerable, so my plea is for everyone to have their flu jab to not only protect our vulnerable patients, but as importantly our colleagues too."

Pictured are Chief Executive, Rob Aitchison (left) getting his vaccine from Clinical Education Team (CET) colleague Gill Davis, Sue, and Chief Operating Officer, Jonny Hammond (right) with CET colleague Katie Sumpton during his vaccination.

Along with our fabulous peer immuniser community (you'll find them broken down by department), we have other ways that colleagues can get their vaccine.
