Operations manager, Angela Farrell, headed to London for the Coronation - and got to see most of the Royals on the balcony, as well as a glimpse of the golden coach.

"It was very soggy, but a brilliant atmosphere. It was British pomp at its very best!"

Colleagues around the Trust also made sure their patients didn't miss out on the big day. A selection of images are below.

  • Medical and frailty same-day emergency care units had a projector so that patients could watch
  • Ward 5 threw a tea-riffic tea party
  • The surgical assessment unit and same day emergency care unit made sure their patients had a cuppa and could watch the Coronation too
  • Our neonatal unit at CRH also gave their babies a keepsake on Saturday. A bib, wooden medal and a pin badge, as well as a crown
