Lead the way Calderdale have recently produced a series of videos to help reduce health inequalities faced by people with a learning disability.

The videos were co-produced, being led by the Calderdale self-advocacy network, Cloverleaf.

Teams in A&E, OP and Nurse Consultant for Learning Disabilities, Amanda Mckie, all feature in one of the videos which covers reasonable adjustments and VIP passports.

Amanda said: "We are always trying to promote the hospital passport, and this video helps to raise awareness. We can offer lots of reasonable adjustments to people if we know about someone’s individual needs. I am really grateful to Lead the Way and our partners for helping create this video."

All four videos can be watched via this link, here are the topics covered:

  • Preparing for annual health checks (designed for people with a learning disability)
