Later this month our Health Informatics Team will complete the network refresh work they began in August. This work will link all our Trust systems to new hardware, ensuring ongoing compliance with national regulations.

What’s happening when, and what is the potential disruption going to be?

The works will take place at HRI and CRH between Monday, 22nd September and Friday, 26th September.

There will be potential disruption to IT services, such as network connectivity, between 06:00 and 08:00 daily during the refresh period.

On Tuesday, 23rd September between 06:00 and 08:00 there will be an impact (such as timing out, ability to log in etc) to the following clinical systems: NerveCentre, ICE Order Comms and Endoscopy Solus.

We do not any expect wider impacts on colleagues or services. However, in the event of an unexpected issue, please follow the standard process for reporting to IT. If issues persist, please refer to your local Business Continuity Plans (BCPs).

IT Services will be coordinating the work and closely monitoring systems throughout, with third-party support services on standby to assist with any issues if required.
