THIS Senior Backend Web Developer, Bryde Town, is running the Great North Run this weekend to raise money for Crohn's and Colitis UK.

Bryde is running in honour of her mum, who has suffered with Crohn's Disease for many years. Bryde has a passion for running and is part of the Sowerby Bridge Snails running club, which she joined in 2023. She ran the London Landmarks Half Marathon last year which has helped give her the confidence to tackle the largest half marathon in the world - The Great North Run.

Bryde said: "I started running for fitness after having my little girl, but now I've found it really helps with my mental wellbeing and my confidence too and I've met and made friends with so many people through running now - it's great!"
