Huddersfield Train Station will be closed for a 30-day period, from Saturday, 30th August to Sunday 28th September, as part of the TransPennine Route Upgrade.
During this period, there will be no train services through Huddersfield station. Rail replacement buses will run to and from Huddersfield, while other train services will be revised.
Key travel advice from Northern Rail:
- Check before you travel – journey times will be longer and you may need to change onto a rail replacement bus if travelling in the area.
- Rail replacement buses will connect Huddersfield with nearby stations including Brighouse, Wakefield Kirkgate, Barnsley, Penistone, Stalybridge, Berry Bow.
- Some train services will be diverted or start/finish at different stations, meaning longer journey times.
- TransPennine Express (TPE) trains are also affected - check their website for details.
