West Yorkshire Suicide Prevention are looking for more people to become Suicide Prevention Champions. Anyone who lives or works in West Yorkshire who is over the age of 18 can volunteer. Champions will learn more about suicide, help to challenge stigma and encourage action, and play an important part in helping bring the suicide rate down.
To find out more and register to become a champion, visit the West Yorkshire Suicide Prevention website: West Yorkshire Suicide Prevention Champion campaign page
Suicide Prevention Champions are needed in all communities across West Yorkshire. Anyone can become a Champion, but we they also want to proactively include unpaid carers, neurodivergent people, LGBTQ+, those from ethnic minority communities, young and old people as well as those with a health condition and/or a physical or learning disability. To make sure they are achieving this, we will ask you to complete a monitoring survey once you have registered - please do fill this in if you can.
