The next Thinking Ahead programme starts on Tuesday, 2nd September and is for anyone living with incurable cancer or supporting someone who is.
The programme is a virtual seven-week course which involves weekly 90-minute sessions, delivered by professionals. The course is an opportunity to share experiences and information with others in a virtual group setting.
The Thinking Ahead programme aims to:
- Help keep patients as well as possible for as long as possible
- Encourage living life to the full in a supported, self-managed way
- Offer support to family members and carers
- Give advice on local services and how to access them when needed
- Allow an opportunity to consider future planning when time may be limited
- Give an opportunity to meet key people who may be able to help in the future
- Offer time for questions and concerns.
