From Wednesday, 13th August 2025, THIS will be rolling out an automated process to remove inactive user accounts. The process will look at accounts that have been inactive for at least 90 days and send a Teams notification to the line manager to submit a response.
The notification will come from ‘THIS Processes & Automations’, and looks like the photo.
Your notification may contain more than one person, you will need to select an option for each account before pressing ‘Submit’.
There are five options for response:
- This person has left - This option will start the leaver process for this person. It will mark the account as a leaver, disable it and fully delete it after 90 days.
- I do not manage this person - This leaves the account as is, but sends an email to HR to correct the person’s line manager.
- Account still required - This leaves the account unchanged.
- Maternity - Use this option to let us know the person is on maternity leave.
- Long Term Sick - Use this option to let us know the person is on long term sick.
If no response is submitted within 22 days, the account will be marked as a leaver, which will start the account closure process.
When you have submitted your response, you will receive a confirmation message.
