The latest National Cancer Patient Experience Survey* results have been released. More than 400 of our patients responded to the survey giving an average rating of 8.9/10 for care (10 being very good). And 91% of those who responded said they felt the whole care team worked well together.

Lead Cancer Nurse, Caroline Summers - pictured, said: "The survey reflects the voices of those who matter most, our patients. The feedback highlights areas where we are delivering compassionate, personalised care, as well as opportunities for further improvement.

"These results are a key measure of how we are delivering against our Cancer Strategy, which places patient experience, equity, and outcomes at its heart.

"We remain committed to listening, learning, and working together with patients, families, and staff to continuously improve cancer services and ensure every person affected by cancer receives the highest standard of care."

A summary of the results can be found in the image attached. You can read the in-depth results for CHFT on the National Cancer Patient Experience Survey website.

* The survey was sent to our adult patients aged 16 or over, who had a confirmed primary diagnosis of cancer, and discharged after an inpatient episode or day case for cancer related treatment between April and June 2024.
