Today, Monday, 28th July, Huber, who are our construction partners for the new Multi-Storey Car Park at CRH start to arrive on site to set up ahead of the big build starting in the coming weeks.
Over the next two weeks, people will start to see more activity on site. Earlier today two mobile welfare units arrived ahead of Huber establishing the site. This involves changing the hoarding, putting up signage, making connections to water, power, drainage and conducting additional surveys to facilitate the start of construction.
Head of Capital, Joe Stainton, pictured right with Temporary Site Manager, David O'Donnell, said: “It’s fantastic to welcome Huber on site. It means people will soon start to see visible work happening on the car park as we hope to start construction in the next few weeks. Thank you to everyone for their continued patience as we prepared the site throughout the enabling works.
"Two environment monitors have also been installed on the site. One will measure the levels of noise and dust (to support Infection Prevention and Control). The other measures vibrations in the ground near to Pathology. Ahead of the works progressing, we'll be taking some baseline readings which will allow us benchmark the levels. Both will send constant readings to the construction team during the build so that the levels can be monitored."
We will be sharing further updates in comms as the work on the car park progress.
