This Friday, 5 May marks the annual International Day of the Midwife.

A combined CHFT celebration event will take place on Friday, 12 May, which is also Nurses' Day - and AHPs will also join the fun.

It will be between 8.30am and 12.30pm at HRI in the Learning Centre.

A reminder that we're looking for videos or drawings from your children or loved ones so they can be displayed them on the day and in our news channels.

Send us your drawings and videos about how nurses, midwives and AHPs help people, or why they’re proud of them.

Top tips for your quick clip

  • Try and find a quiet (ish) area, as your phone microphone may pick up background noise. It’s best if they can face the window or some light, rather than having their back to a window or light.
  • And before you start recording, ask them: What makes you proud of mummy (or daddy or auntie etc) or how do they help people?
  • It will look much better filmed in landscape mode.

Please email your videos by communications@cht.nhs.uk by Monday, 8 May 2023. Please tell us the name and age of your 'film star'.

If you have a drawing please get in touch, or send a photo of your young one with a picture so we can use it.
